01: Ancestors Coming from Suwura, an island of dense swamps, Kaerubishi's parents were from two separate clans, his father from the Kaeruki, and his mother from the Itsubishi.

His father's clan, the Kaeruki, were known as skilled swordsmen, having a high respect for Kenjutsu and many regularly practiced Ninjutsu aswell. Their emblem held a large frog, wielding a knife with it's tongue in front of a full moon. They held a warrior culture, and practiced eugenics which lead to them gaining unbelievable strength, that lead to a near three generation war against the rival clans that occupied the rest of Suwura. Coming out as the victors, the Kaeruki titled themselves the rightful owners and leaders of the island, and any who dared enter it were to go through several trials and meet with the Kaeruki heads of any nearby villages.

His mother's clan, the Itsubishi was a small nomadic clan of blue-eyed warriors who would wonder the lands of Shimafuki, challenging any who considered themselves worthy. Many became Taijutsu and Ninjutsu masters at fairly young ages, thanks to their clans unique eye for battle, with legends claiming that when entering a challenging fight, their pupils would gain a bit of a white tint. Some wished for a more dangerous challendge and therefore began specializing in various weapon, one of which was kenjutsu. Many of the clan refused to mate unless they deemed their challenger's a worthy opponent, and even then would only mate with the challenger's person of choice, if given any, and of course vice-versa. This unspoken rule was the direct cause of their clan's eventual disapation.

Just a few years before his birth, the Itsubishi visted the island of Suwura, where they encountered the great warriors whose name had reached the shores of the mainland. After several days of fighting between the clans, the two leaders agreed that each had shown their might and decided to hold a feast followed by a duel. The prize for this duel would be the child of the defeated ruler joining the clan of the winner. After a great feast, which involved both clans within the capital of the Kaeruki clan, where they surprisingly got along, the duel occured the following day, which is said to have lasted for nearly five days without break before finally, home-team won. The Kaeruki leader lobed off the head of the Itsubishi and declared victory, claiming the Itsubishi head's daughter for his son. Not long after this duel, the Itsubishi left, and the children were married, with child just a handful of years later.

02: Birth It wasn't until the death of the Kaeruki head from disease, just a year after Marusa's birth, that Emperor Tsuian appeared before the clan, now lead by the former's son, and Marusa's father. Demanding the child who he'd raise as his personal bodyguard and the next Shogun, the Emperor threatened the clan, however when he entered combat against the new head and lost, he left, only being spared due to his title.

However it wasn't long after, Shogun Hemikuro journeyed to the island, with an army, leading an assault against them under the orders of the Emperor. It took Hemikuro nearly five years in what is considered the greatest show of defense in history as the clans of the island, lead by the Kaerukis fended off attack after attack against the various opponents, to break their defenses and slaughter them on their home. By the end of the assualt, only a handful of survivors were left, however even they were left disfigured and maimed.

Taking the child, Hemikuro returned to their main island where he discovered the Emperor to be furious with how long it had taken him to get a singluar child and threatened to have him killed if he ever failed a mission again. This lead to Hemikuro taking complete control over the various Shimafukian islands and their clans, giving the Emperor false information and creating a military state.

03: Raised Raised by several characters through his childhood, it only took a handful of spars for Marusa to beat any opponent, learning rather quickly. The ony man he was never able to beat however, was the Shogun, who frequintly gave him harsh direct lessons, with each one leaving him with various new scars along him body, something to be ashamed of within' the warrior culture of Shimafuki, which caused him to be ostricized by most of his peers. He was taught several styles of fighting, which he seemed to beable to get the hang of rather quickly, and before he was fifteen even came up with his own style of fighting, one which garnered him his personal title of Kaerufro, with it involving high stamina for jumping, quick and percice strikes with a slew of weapons. It is said that Kaerufro's final test before becoming a samurai at the age of fifteen, was defeating a large creature that has been said to be a dragon, however this beast hasn't been properly identified.
04: Samurai From the age of fourteen to twenty-seven, Kaerufro was one of the best Samurai in the Shogun's vast army, both as a warrior and leader, with several accounts of him singlehandedly defending a village from an army.

Kaerufro's final acomplishment as a Samurai was his defeat of the legendary Anuba and Megatsu, who led the mercenary group known as the Katsemaru, a group of Snoe users. It's thought that Megatsu's husband was the Dylvigetian god, Anuba, however there isn't enough evidence and too many issues conflicting with the theory, and therefore it's agreed that his name was just a coincidence. However this fight, despite winning, left Kaerufro with a heavy wound that left him unfit for battle for an extended time, and therefore stripped him of his Samurai title. The next handful of years in Kaerufro's life are a complete blank.

05: Ronushu Kameharu The next time he is mentioned in history documents is under the tutilage of Ronushu Kameharu, a great sage and Goushida master who is said to have found an unconscious Kaerubishi and taken him in to heal the greveasly wounded man. Kaerubishi, no longer going by his samurai title, took several years to heal, both physically and emotionally as he was said to have been a lost man, constantly wondering the seas of his mind, unable to come to terms with anything in his life and instead focusing on battle as an escape, with the various vices and pleasures of life giving him reason to go on.

It's only during his time with Kameharu that anything of vices and pleasures are spoken of, most other historic records make him out to be an honorable samurai who held others above himself, but this is completely contrary to the picture dipicted of him under the sage's care, who, himself, wrote that it took several months to break Kaerubishi of his various addictions. For those arguing over which is true, it's worthy noting that many of the historic records pre-Kameharu were known to have inconsistancies, and that Kaerufro was legally considered dead until after his time with Ronushu.

It's unknown exactly what the sage and Kaerubishi did, or why Kaerubishi referred to him as one of his few masters, however during his four year stay with the sage, Kaerubishi returned to his home island of Suwaru where he was given his family's sword, the Katetsu II. The blade that killed his mother's father, and the blade that slaughtered many of the Shoguns men as they unjustly faught Kaerubishi's clan.

06: Ronin During Kaerubishi time as a Ronin, after he left Ronushu, he went under the title of Kanata, wore a heavy set of uniquely made armor, and weilded two swords, his family's Katetsu II, and a cursed, emerald graved sword known as Sanjo Igatsu III, which was rumored to have been crafted by a vile and evil man, with the sword holding a bloodthirst and gaining supernatural powers when used against characters his host had a hatred for. Wondering the various islands and regions of Shimafuki. Kanata's exploits are only vaguely reported, with him appearing through various stories, killing those who did wrong, and showing a strong morale and system of honor.

A fan favorite of Kanata's, was during the Chealerian Invasion, he used one of their own tools against them, as he killed was is said to have been fifty men along with nothing but a unique proto-telescope.

07: War of Goushida During the War of Goushida, the Ronin Kanata, in his forties, appeared once more to participate in the great battles that occurred through out the various islands. Standing toe to toe against the magi users that were attempting to topple the Shogun, among various other goals, it wasn't until his duel against the Goushida, Shún that it was revealed that the Ronin Kanata was actually the thought to be dead Samurai Kaerufro, as

Shún tossed his helmet to the side, nearly decapitating Kaerubishi. It was directly due to Kaerubishi's efforts that the revised Katsemaru were destroyed.

08: Death Not long after this, Kaerubishi became heavily ill with the sickness his grand father had gotten and decided to perform one final task. Appearing before the shogun and challenging him. If Kaerubishi won, the Shogun would release Shimafuki from it's militaristic state and return the Emperor his control, if the Shogun won, Kaerubishi would swear his soul to protecting his people and ensuring their survival, never being able to rest for as long as there were descendants of the Shimafukian people.

The duel only lasted ten minutes before Kaerubishi succumbed to his illness.

09: Legacy A great many stories are told of Kaerubishi and his feats, with most holding some form of lesson, and many changing from showing Kaerubishi as the hero and villain, however the one thing everyone of them agree on is his natural ability to fight and how he defeated almost every opponent that stood against him.
