Formally the race of Umbra-Báuturíí, or Shadow-Drinkers, are humanoid beings who have super-natural powers that give them a wide range of abilities. Umbras, more commonly known by their nick name, Keltas, are the supernatural entities that have sparked terror and nightmares for centuries. All Umbrian race names are prefixed with Umbra. The Kelta are a race of humans who've been infected with one of the three strains of Umbrian disease. While a few stragglers and roamers are found among normal society, most keep to themselves in their bought land of Caidanadi, under their Orbis Sanguis Terrarum government.

Despite being the smallest race in number, Keltas have had the second biggest impact on earth. With three sub-races, Keltas are, in simple terms, humans who's ancestors have had some type of physical or magical interaction with Astrals of the Yonmial race. Due to this, they have gained special abilities to manipulate their dluas. Having been forced into hiding in the early 1600s, Keltas are mainly found in one place; Lumea Sangelui, which was coined by humans, meaning 'Blood World'. Strays have been found in other places around the world, which has caused laws to be placed on the race by the Orbis Sanguis Terrarum government. The three sub-races; Umbra-Báuturíí, Umbra-Máncátír , and Umbra-Ŕunca, each wield unique dlua manipulating abilities, however each race also wields draw backs that some would see more as curses than anything. While two of the three sub-races can give birth to another member of their race, Umbra-Báuturíí can not give birth to another, the child would have to be turned. Keltas managed to stay hidden throughout most of their history. This isn't to say that no humans knew of their existence, if they didn't, we wouldn't have the legends and stories we do today, however the biggest part that lead to Kelta investigations was the 'Z Backfire' social media event in 2030, when wealthy business magnate, and philanthropist Zeke Zerdin made the announcement that he was creating Neumen as a defense against super-natural beings known as Keltas. It was argued rather or not he was telling the truth until sometime in 2031 when a group of Keltas went on a rampage over a city before being killed by a mysterious man. Naturally, this caused an uproar and with the sudden emergence of Neuman the year prior, _.

The only exception to the Umbra-Báuturíí being born is if they are of the 'Pure' bloodline, direct dissidents to Bartholomew Yon Wauter, the astral that mated with humans and gave birth to the first Keltas.

Familiarized as Sorcerers, or Magicians, Umbra-Ŕunca, or Shadow-Casters are capable of producing one of four types of magic, depending on their Ŕuncian Tool of choice. Projecting their Dlua through these tools.

More commonly known as Vampires in recent times, Umbra-Báuturíí, or Shadow-Drinkers are humanoid beings who have super-natural powers that give them a wide range of abilities. Unfortunately unlike their Umbra-Ŕunca cousins, Umbra-Báuturíí require the life force, or Dlua of other creatures to live as they slowly decay without it. This life force is usually taken by sucking the blood of their targets.

An entities whose soul, specifically the Dlua half, literally devours itself, causing a survival reaction from the body, giving enhanced senses and physical abilities for extended periods of time. Due to their Dlua constantly eating itself, an Umbra-Báuturíí is forced to find a substitute or replacement in order to survive, this causes the drinking of blood as it's a direct tap into an entity's soul. As their Dlua decays, so does their sanity, which has caused different forms of Báuturíí to spawn. Due to a Báuturíí constantly ingesting new Dlua, they are technically immortal, as their body's survival reaction causes excelerated healing, and the new Dlua causes a type of reversed aging in the body, making them slightly younger with each new intake.

Upon first regaining Dlua, the skin regains it's color and they become weaker for the initial day as the body gains a rest period.

  • Trivia
    • Require roughly five quarts weekly, or two cups a day in order to keep their sanity and strength.
    • Contrary to common beliefs, Umbra-Báuturíí are capable of eating normal foods, however these foods typically have no taste to them, much like water to humans.
    • A human can be turned into a Báuturíí if bitten and injected with their Dlua, which is a unique and potentially dangerous process for both parties, as it leaves the Báuturíí in a weakened state, and poisons the one being bitten.

Máncátír

Link to it's connected files; Máncátír

Also known as Shifters, Umbra-Máncátír, or Shadow-Eaters are humanoid beings that have the ability to shift into another form, taking on certain animalistic traits, depending on their Dlua, leading to tales of Werewolves, Lycanthropes, and Wendigos. While they don't require another's dlua to live, their bodies are set on cycles, they are unable to control themselves during certain parts of these cycles and go into a frenzy, attacking any thing they see that hasn't proven dominance, typically this is against non-Máncátírs. This is because unlike their Báuturíí cousins, their Dlua doesn't slowly decay but instead engages a type of lock, which slowly instead activates and unactivates depending on their Dlua cycle. Due to their Dlua forming this lock which releases in types of bursts, Máncátír age at a slower rate than the average human, however do age and will eventually die.
