Welcome Amino! To "Saikou Kinetic: Humans Are Such Easy Prey"
A post-apocalyptic multi-genre spanning setting where a percentage of humans hold psychic abilities dubbed Psukhé. These humans are referred to as Miscreants, which are capable of many types of feats depending on their type of psukhé, determined from their clan. Primarily taking place within the Hebrys dimension, the setting holds the Karnavarious and Shonraoum dimensions as well, which play just as important a role as their main, if not more so.
Toam Hor is one of the main characters.
The current world has been split into two 'continents'; habitable and inhabitable. Players, lore accurately referred to as Animos, are unique Miscreants with such powerful Psukhé that are capable of complete destruction of major parts of the habitable world.
A Miscreant is a human who holds a psychic power known as Psukhé, which differs per clan. Some Psukhé allow a Miscreant control over gravitational fields, and others allow them control over a single element. The amount of clans around the broken world is unknown.
An overwhelming majority of the world’s societies are extremely religious, with most non-religious characters and cultures being looked down upon, and even sometimes attacked for their unfaith.
Races
Life has been broken into five categories; Human, Artificial, Amphi, Archaeo, and Advena.
Humans
Humans are broken into two groups; Hūmānus Medianus and Hūmānus Animos, the second of which makes up most of their population, and holds uniquely gifted powers called Psukhé, while the former doesn’t.
60% weak ass bitch psychers |
20% middle punk bitch psychers |
10% high ass bitch niggas |
5% higher roller blading psychers |
4% Ultra long dick white motha fuckas |
1% Minor Deity psychers (demon psychers) |
Median
Mids, Normals, Avers, or Averages, are characters who don't have a high Psukhén output, low enough to not be considered threats, deem-able of being referred to as Miscreants. The majority of the human population is actually Median.
Miscreant
Ants, Rants, and Cris (Crees), Miscreants are characters who hold a powerful connection with their Psukhé, offering high potential dangers to society. Anything conscious, other than contaminants can be a miscreant.
Feral
A type of character who holds little to no civilized knowledge and acts abnormally compared to those raised in the many major societies of the regions.
Animo
Also referred to as Advent, Animos are characters who hold far more capabilities than average. Believed by some to be fragments of the Demiurge's soul, which have destined them to achieve great and world changing feats. Their Psukhé are more powerfulo and unique from the masses of weaker and less skilled Miscreants, able to do feats thought only possible by gods of old, or even by the Demiurge themself, they are are the most powerful beings in the Hebrys, as well as the most dangerous.
Lawyer
Or Stabilizers, are characters who've specialized in the use of tech that is capable of stripping someone of their Psukhé.
Calico
Characters who come from two different clans, typically giving them a couple of unique traits.
Hospice
Are characters who hard focus on their healing abilities, being special types of combat medics.
Artificial
Entities that have been created through the use of science.
Abortion
Discarded genetic, psychotic, and chemical experimental creations.
Amphi
Entities that have been created exclusively with Psukhé.
Vaustian
The physical manifestations of the subconscious hive mind's emotions and fears, which is usually created when a group of Miscreants die. Beings of pure psychotic energy, they've sometimes been proven to be a type of fuel for the stronger Miscreants, who can devour these entities, transferring their power into them, with weaker Miscreants or non-Psukhe users having a bit of trouble when dealing with Vaustians.
Terium
Psukhé given form, unlike Vaustians, are soul tied entities, being created when a Miscreant focuses his psukhé internally to create another consciousness, done by talking and picturing another entity inside their mind, believing that it exists separate from themselves. Eventually, using his will and energy, their soul fragments slightly causing a new being to be created, directly linked to their creator. While linked to it's host, the Terium holds it's own sentience and sapience, with the ability to grow beyond what it's creator initially gave it, but it will always be linked to it's host and can never break that link. It can even learn new Psukhé feats, that it's host doesn't know. Of course they hold a unique Psukhé, which, like any other souled entity, can die. If the Terium dies, that part of the Miscreant's soul dies and therefore permanently weakens them. If the host can't repair their soul, it will bleed out into the world, creating a human Vaustian, which are a lot more powerful and dangerous. Teriums can also willingly return to their host, however doing so will cause them to lose all their learned feats.
Contaminant
Archaeo
Entities that hold an origin from another dimension or time are considered Archaeo.
Advena
Entities that are from another place within our dimension and time are considered Advena.
Universal Properties
Psukhé
Is a psychic power,. There isn’t much of a definition past this, a majority of people hold some form of Psukhé, but only one in every twenty hold enough natural power to be considered a Miscreant.
Sickolution
Is the phrase used for a Miscreant who goes into a state of almost pure rage as they can no longer contain their own power. Also referred to as Sicko-Evoktion, Sicko-Stiring, or Stiring-Sicko.
Icarum Sphereium
Also called Internal World, Soul Palace, Wonderland, Devine World, or Psycho-Spheres, are creations from particularly strong miscreants. They function as those names imply and worlds or universes of the miscreant own design. Some can even manifest these worlds into the real world and can be found around areas of the different regions.
The Icarum Sphereium, also known as the divine world, is where Teriums stay while being created and can be interacted with in a conceptual form, along with it's creator. The Icarum can be anything the Miscreant imagines and if they allow it, the Terium can influence and change this world as they see fit as well.
Especially powerful Miscreants can manifest their Icarum within the physical plane, and rule it like a god, with many characters leaving the physical plane to fully live within their Icarums, which hold an independent reality of their own design. Only the pinnacle can go even further, overlapping a area of reality with their Icarum Sphereium and forcing those two to exist simultaneously.
The laws of reality are bent and reshaped to coexist with the Icarum, creating a form of fusion zone. These areas are in almost complete control of the Miscreant host. This is the closes any miscreant has achieved to the pure and godlike power of the glorious and eternal Ikura.
If the Icarum is destroyed or broken in any meaningful way, the host's soul will be chipped away in equal measure. The Icarum Sphereium usually isn't permanent, typically called on to give the host a home field advantage and allow them to use more of their power while weakening the other Miscreant's control.
A rare event, known as Binarius Icarum Shereium, or Duel divine world, in which two hosts have phased their own Icarums at the same place, this becomes a battlefield or not only two Miscreants but their worlds and souls. The devastation and destruction this brings is often apocalyptic in nature for the local area, and when one wins a Psukhian implosion occurs within the one who loses, like a great burning star slowly collapsing into itself. The area, Icarum, and soul of the losing Miscreant is compressed into nothing, the visual is equally awe-inspiring and horrifying. This is one of the few ways a true soul death can happen.
Demiurge
Also referred to as Nonpareil, is a single entity which goes by a great many names, slightly differing per religion.
World
The world is broken into two ‘continents’; Habitable and Inhabitable. The Habitable world is actually multiple puddles scattered around the world, referred to as ‘Pudds’, they are the
